Naturally, a princess can wear whatever she pleases.

Personally, though, I’ve always adored tiaras. Does a single accessory convey “princess” the way a tiara does? They’re our prerogative, prettier and more practical than a crown, able to be worn as a part of a princess’s favourite hairdos. I savour wearing mine, be it a requirement for a formal event, to meet someone important or simply because I wish to feel pretty for a day. I dream of the day a lover will take my handmaiden’s place, and be the one to place it upon my head every morning.

The design, motifs and embellishments on a tiara are all opportunities for subtle, but important self expression. I, Princess Edith, tend to prefer silver jewelry - and specifically natural, understated floral designs on my tiaras. I’d love to hear what your dream tiara is, whether you’ve found it or not.
