Genre: Supernatural

Annabelle pushed a headband through her dark hair and bent over her book again. But somehow some strands managed to fall in her face again. She was this close to cutting them off. Her olive eyes scanned the page again, trying to find where she had left off before being rudely interrupted by her hair. Of all the things that could bother her… ah, there it was. She found her spot again and began reading only to have a crashing sound to scare her out of her skin. Her head snapped around to the shattered mirror behind her. How had that happened? She could barely see her ruby red lips and sharp eyebrows behind the spiderweb of cracks. The hair on the back of her neck began to stand up when sharp cold air rushed at her. A moment of silence followed when she realized it was just the AC clicking on. Annabelle laughed to herself. She was being silly, ghosts didn’t exist. And that’s when she heard her name being whispered behind her.
