The Captain America Sam discourse is so dumb. First of all, just say you hate Black people and leave it at that. Secondly, from what I gather anything in the mcu right now is pretty much meaningless anyway, so getting riled up about any cause, good or bad, seems quite pointless regardless. Like imagine being the kind of person who gets mad because a Black man is Captain America in phase 82 or whatever of the marvel cinematic universe. A sad existence

I don't like doing this, but I need to get this out off my chest. You guys know that this is a wank/hate/ free zone. I don't like it, makes my mental health go south and I'm not in that business plain and simple. I'm endgame positive, yeah I know weird concept on some parts of the internet. I enjoy the show, and yeah sometimes I'm critical (with CEOs if you know what I mean), but I still love it. I'm in it for the ride. I'm sad it's ending cause I'm still deeply in love with the show. I love it's writers, characters, actors and wives and kids, sue me, and if that makes me the proverbial meme clown, so be it. I don't like get tagged in this sort of things, there's a reason I flew from chats before when they get all wanky. So please, if you don't like it, scroll down, unfollow, block, whatever helps you to get in your feed the content you like. I don't expect everyone to agree with me. There's a reason we're called INDIVIDUALS, and that's why I didn't give the time of the day to some of the things you already saw on every blog today, but I really really hope that this clears things out (in a surreal case this wasn't clear enough before) .

Does Jared realize that Sam had barely character growth because everybody gravitated towards Dean? Does he realize that Eileen was a gift not just because of her backstory for a catalyst for Sam but that she allowed us to see more of Sam and relate to him? Does he realize any of that? Or did he literally just *read scripts and dip out*?

I think part of it is that he’s slipped into CW Golden Boy Role, but I guess most of it is that he’s just unable to really see things from other people’s perspectives? Like, Eileen/Shoshannah’s presence in the show does not really mean anything for him personally because he’s not disabled so he just doesn’t see why a Sam/Eileen endgame would matter for others?
I think this quote by him just sums him up:
We don’t want the audience to ever know whether Walker is quote conservative or quote liberal, or quote Republican or quote Democrat.
Politics are meaningless to him because it changes nothing for him whether republicans or democrats make decisions. He’s literally the kind of person who thinks political sides are meaningless arguing and ‘conservative’ and ‘liberal’ are actually damaging labels. If he cannot realize why it matters whether someone lines up with republicans or democrats, how can he understand anything about these issues...?
I find it absolutely hilarious that Sam/Jared stans complained for years that Sam was sidelined and writers focused more on Dean, clamored for Carver/Thompson/Dabb/Berens/Yockey/idek to be fired because Sam didn’t get enough focus and felt like a secondary character to Dean’s main character, but now if someone comments that the show placed more focus on Dean and made Dean the main character suddenly we’re delusional Sam-haters, like we’re retroactively making it happen by talking about it in a very peculiar ontological twist, but also it was never a thing in the first place somehow
at least jared’s helping us get past the phase where we feel like we need to pretend to like him

honestly he always gave me some kind of not great vibe, just i simply decided to mostly ignore it, in fact i don’t think i’ve ever posted opinions on jared...
but i’m not liking how he’s using his experience with mental illness to sell products that are a borderline scam (some tea won’t help with mental health, sorry) and well. his thoughts on the show are just. ew.
he’s also just coming out as a american-style libertarian, basically? which is such a shitty thing to be in this current political climate. in the usa right now it’s NOT irrelevant or meaningless to be conservative or liberal/aligned with republicans or democrats. i’d take a ‘ew political parties we don’t want to align our character to them’ from an italian because italian politics work differently, but an american? conservative or liberal is something that matters. especially now.

Also [redacted actor] isn't Sam, and even if we disagree with his opinions we don't have to take that out on what Sam's best ending would be. Like Sam didn't deserve the stupid ending he got, and saying Eileen is too good for him isn't helpful. Bc the narrative makes it seem like she wasn't enough for him, and that goes beyond whatever actor who didn't write the show says anyway
I think this is more of a flashpoint for our frustrations than anything else. Unless I find out that Eileen was removed at his request, he's just some dude with an opinion I don't like y'know?
Now the stupid thing about Walker's politics on the other hand... I was never gonna watch the show but now I'm really not gonna
Yeah. His opinions on spn are like... idontwantthese.jpeg but he apparently understands the show less than my aunt who doesn’t know the show exists does, so they’re just worth an evening of typing these lil angery posts but then that’s it.
Walker is going to be, like. You know the problematic things about Supernatural? Those but only those. You’re welcome :)
