I remember seeing a Regency Fashion Plate once where the woman in it was wearing something almost like harem pants. It was probably a theatre costume since pants were still ages away from becoming typical wear for ladies. I can't find it anywhere, though, and it's really frustrating.

I'm going to another Regency dance in September and I feel like being scandalous this time.

Hope your dance instruction went well!

It went so well!! Baby sister came with to help teach and we had SO much fun. Everyone at the party loved it, we made friends, the sound system worked, we had enough room--couldn't have gone better. <3

Now I'm just sad I don't get more chances to do this. Why'd we ever stop having balls?

Is someone familiar with Regency dances and can answer me a question?

I noticed in Persuasion 2007 that there men/men and women/women parts. I only know these dances from movies and this is the first time I am seeing that there are same sex parts in it. Was that usual or only the exception?
