Forced bonding {{1979}}- Jackson & Reginald
Jackson couldn’t have been prouder of Lucinda if he tried, despite everything that had happened in the last few years she still pursued her dream. She’d wanted to be a Quidditch player since she was little, Jack knew this and even helped her practice and their father was indifferent about it. He’d congratulate his only daughter on any games she preformed well in and even exerted himself to find her the best brooms, updated them as quickly as the companies did. Of course he presumed it was only a hobby and died before knowing otherwise. Their mother was far less supportive, dangerously so when she found out Lu planned a career through quidditch. Jackson would never forgive himself for leaving her alone with her after he married but thankfully it didn’t discourage her from doing everything in her power to achieve her goal.
He’d flooed into Berlin the night before but hadn’t truly taken note of his sisters’ nerves until she joined him for a quick word before heading off into the changing rooms, it was highly unusual for Lucinda. She was confident in her abilities and the Holyhead Harpies had an exceedingly good reputation. That’s when she finally confessed, loverboy was joining them for the game. It wasn’t that Jackson took a particular dislike to Reginald he just wasn’t a fan of anyone sniffing around his sister and he was especially suspicious of him carrying on with the engagement when no one was putting pressure on the arrangement anymore. He had a stronger will power than Lucinda, there was no way she’d win this argument..
Ten minutes later he found himself waiting by the V.I.P entrance, the winning quilt trip was when Lucinda mentioned she was bridesmaid for his now wife despite their lukewarm relationship. The game would be starting soon and he held onto a sliver of hope that Reginald was held up, perhaps he couldn’t make it after-all. Until he heard security halting someone.
“Sorry man, he’s with the team.” he intervened, handing Reg a lanyard after he was allowed through. “Should give you access around the stadium, Lucinda had to get geared up. I know she was hoping to greet you herself.” he informed, sizing him up.
