Instead, it was a personal favor to show the woman around, wherever she wanted to go, so his opinion didn't matter much. "Sorry. Not the best tour guide." It wasn't his job to be a tour guide, but apparently the singer had done the king a favor by being willing to perform at his feast, and if indulging her in a private tour helped repay that, then so be it. @reginamater​

There had been something surprising about seeing the royal family of Denmark just as diligently training as any soldiers and Renaud was always drawn to things that surprised him, if only so he could make sure they never surprised him again.

He would talk with the king in due time, but first he went to the Queen Mother, perhaps due to their similar ages, or perhaps because of what he'd heard about her. "I'm impressed. And I was curious if you'd be willing to show my own soldiers some of your drills. I believe they could have much to learn from you." All honest, but what would be curious was whatever the woman asked for in exchange, as everyone seemed to want something from France.

And this woman, decadent as she appeared, was one of them with her singing career.

I understand that it's short noticed, but I'd hoped that you would be able to perform for the feast." Certainly, Switzerland had its own bands that could provide the music for dancing, but she would be far more noteworthy.
