Hoenn had something like a Regidrago at some point... well, multiple somethings. The Draconids would destroy them on sight for being perversions of nature according to their ( 2,000 year old ) religious doctrines. There's definitely be one or two that they've hidden in old Sinnohian outposts but the survivors look absolutely nothing like the Regi in Galar. Expect they'd probably have a design vaguely based off of this thing:

Hoenn's "People of the Land" ( as refered to by the Draconids ) don't exactly have access to the same materials as their Galarian counterparts. A golem with dragonfire burning in its heart would have to be made out of actual dragons. ( The Draconids were less than enthusiastic about what they view as necromancy, to put it lightly )

( Note: It's also theoretically possible for a knowledgeable craftsman to make a Regi of any type. In practice though? So few of the less common varieties have survived into the modern era that they might as well be extinct. )

The Regis are basically non-anthropomorphic golems built by the original inhabitants of Hoenn. ( It is said that Groudon itself taught the first king to breathe life into mud doll as a replacement for the daughter it struck down in anger ) They were numerous in times of yore with each noble family and petty warlord maintaining their own elemental construct. 

The current trio of Regis are the only surviving members of a 2,500 year old anti-Draconid defense system. They do not think like naturally born Pokemon ( or even like most modern artificial Pokemon ) and struggle to communicate anything more than simple concepts with empathic Psychic type Pokemon as a result. While they do not understand any modern language, they have been observed to communicate with one another via electromagnetic waves. Metagross has had some success controlling them by mimicking the central control terminal, Regigigas’s, signals. 

May’s Regis are considered as property of Hoenn’s League. In an emergency, any of her Elites may withdraw them for use against existential threats to the region.
