It's like, actually perfect, especially in GRRM. Sansa has fully mastered politics, who can be close to others, who gets along and who doesn't, who might constitute a danger, while Jon has mastered the financial part and make sure things actually work in terms of numbers.
And they both suck at the other part. Sansa is useless with numbers, Jon is useless at keeping his people happy enough they won't rebel against him. And, in GRRM, they actually go very much into the stereotypes of men and women and handling their parts perfectly so it just MAKES SENSE!
Also, they are both some of the few people with Stark blood left and they both have a particular claim to Winterfell and they're both super worried about it and may currently have names other than Stark but are still Starks at heart and do value it. From little Jon playing with Robb and saying he was the lord of Winterfell to Sansa insisting to Littlefinger she's Sansa Stark. They think the other is the only one left and they just really care about it and Sansa keeps using Jon as a template for how she should act as a bastard and Jon refuses Stannis' offer cause Old Gods are super important and part of the North and 'Winterfell belongs to my sister Sansa'.
BUT DESPITE THEM HAVING GROWN UP AS SIBLINGS, THEY DON'T EXACTLY THINK OF EACH OTHER THAT WAY!! Because Sansa had Catelyn's influence and always 'half-brother' and Jon always had Catelyn remind him he's a bastard so there's not that thing that would happen with Sansa/Robb for example. AND THEY CAN ACTUALLY TRUST EACH OTHER! They've had some terrible experiences with how people will not hesitate to stab them in the back (literally and not) and they just need to have someone by their side who won't have them on their toes 24/7 cause omfg, it's enough of that! It's enough of people wanting them for ulterior motives and just wanting them to use them as some puppet AND I NEEEEEEEEEEDD!!! ;____;
They are pretty much the ONE ship I need as endgame! Because it works, because it fits, because they care and it can be so beautiful and they can learn so much from each other and grow as people and be able to rule Winterfell in a way that would make Ned proud and that's really all they would want ;____;
