Alex has loved Bobby for as long as he’s know enough about love to label the warm feeling in his chest as such, but the world hasn’t always loved him for it, even though his mom had promised, back before he’d come out, back before gay had even been in his vocabulary, that god loved everybody and the people of god did too.

At the end of the day, he is what his mom had always wanted him to be - a boy in love and a boy who is loved.
