🌱Oh little Simon is so so SOOO curious about Rocky!!! The trilling and chirps scare him at first, but once the translator is introduced and Simon can understand him, he loves talking to Rocky!!!

🪨Big Simon is still a little wary of Rocky, but little Simon thinks he’s the coolest ever! Rocky’s kinda like Simon’s fun uncle.

🌱Sometimes Simon tries to chirp and trill back, and Rocky thinks it’s the cutest thing!!! He’s just like a little pebble trying to learn how to speak!!!

🪨Simon likes sitting in front of Rocky’s ball and patting it while smiling at Rocky and giggling, like a baby!!! At first Rocky was confused why he was doing it but Grace explained that it’s something human children do and now Rocky will tap his hands on the other side of the ball like they’re playing patty-cake!

🌱Grace sneaks videos of the two bonding while Simon is little all the time, one of his favorites is where Simon is fast asleep and laying on Rocky’s ball and getting drool everywhere while Rocky talks to him in hushed tones to keep him asleep.

🪨Simon doesn’t really like the lullabies Rocky can sing, so Rocky just talks about science stuff to make Simon go to sleep! Simon doesn’t understand it and it knocks him out.

Cg! Ryland taking care of a tiny!Simon who has verbal shutdowns when he’s regressed so Grace has to learn his cues/noises?

☄️Since Simon regresses so young, he often ends up non-speaking and only babbles or makes quiet cooing sounds.

🌱Grace thinks this is absolutely adorable, but communication between the two is a little hard to work through at first.

☄️Rocky was the one to actually start helping with communication, noticing that when Simon needs or wants something, he uses certain babbles or coos depending on what it was.

🌱Rocky relayed this to Grace, and soon they were able to communicate!!! Rocky’s still the one who can communicate the best with Simon because he can hear the slight differences between Simon’s tones.

“woah, that sounds good, right Rocky?”

“Aw, thanks Rock. Does that sound right sweet boy?”

“mhm!!!”

☄️Simon often hums when small because he likes the feeling of vibrations in his chest! He loves laying on Grace’s chest and listening to him talk for the same reason.

🌱When he’s a little older (maybe toddler space) he uses an AAC program Grace made! Sometimes he feels self-conscious about it, but Rocky always makes him feel better by saying it’s just like his translator!!!

☄️Grace is 10000000% Simon’s mama!!!

🌱Simon is quite the fussy baby, and it doesn’t bother Grace one bit because that is his baby no matter what

☄️Depending on how old Simon feels he is either just a whiny, whimpery baby who needs attention or a very easily irritable tot who gets easily overwhelmed.

🌱Simon has a tendency to shout or slam things when he’s overwhelmed in an attempt to scare everything into calming down; it worked in Eden and the COI because he was so intimidating to the people there.

☄️With Grace? Oh, Simon is immediately apologizing and crying, he just yelled at his mama!!! That’s bad!!! Grace understands though, Simon can’t control his triggers and he’s working towards healing and managing them better, this is just a step in the process.

🌱Simon can regress quite young, and when he does so, he’s only really fussy when he wants attention, he’s hungry, or he’s in pain. He’s a very very easy baby.

☄️Instead of shouting or slamming things when fussy, Simon whines and babbles a lot! Depending on if he’s overwhelmed, he sometimes pulls at his hair or scratches himself to regulate.

🌱Again, Grace is always there to pick up the pieces for Simon, especially when he’s so small. He gently guides Simon’s hands into his own, makes sure he’s not hurt, and sits with him until he calms down.

☄️Simon H A T E S the idea of sharing food, especially while small. If Grace tries to give him anything more than a small portion, there’s a good chance he just won’t eat it all (he’s saving it for later). If Grace tries to give the baby some of his own food, Simon adamantly refuses, even when he’s hungry. It makes Grace a little sad, but he knows that Simon grew up with a lot of food insecurity, so he’s gentle with him.

🌱Tiny Simon is fascinated with Rocky, so Grace sometimes uses it against him when he’s small and can’t calm down! If he’s shouting, he’ll gently remind Simon that they have to use their inside voices because Rocky’s hearing is better than theirs, and Grace knows Simon hates the idea of making Rocky feel bad or nervous!

One of tiny Simon's comfort is a blue star themed blankie he can't seperate with. How does cg! Wilford and cg! Dark comfort him if he loses his blankie or if needs washing? ✨️

The Boy and His Blankie

A short agere fic by me because I wanted to!!!

Simon and his blankie were almost as inseparable as Wilford and Darkiplier. Blankie went everywhere with Simon, either tucked into the crook of his arm or wrapped around his broad shoulders in an effort to keep himself calm. Blankie’s edges were beginning to go threadbare and its stars were losing a bit of color, but Simon loved the thing.

So much so, that when dropped into a large mud puddle, Simon continued to carry it around despite everything else. Dark and Wilford shared a quick look, as if mentally arguing over who would be the one to tell Simon that Blankie had to get a bath.

“Simon, sweetheart,” Dark said gently, “blankie needs a bath, just like you do when you play in the mud too much.”

Simon’s bottom lip began to warble at the mention of Blankie having to go into the bath.

“No, pup, there’s no need to cry, Blankie will be alright, right Wilford?”

“Of course it will!” Wilford exclaimed, “Blankie is a very very brave piece of fabric, and it might even love to have a bath! You don’t like being icky, do you?”

Simon shook his head, eyes still wide and afraid.

“Do you want to sit and watch Blankie take its bath? It might be a bit less scary with some company.” Dark encouraged, putting a hand on Simon’s back and rubbing gently.

Simon looked up to Dark and Wilford with watery eyes.

“…washer not gonna eat Blankie?”

Wilford shook his head.

“Of course not, dear boy, washers don’t eat blankies! They eat papa’s and mama’s socks, blankies are much too fearsome for a washer to try and eat!” He joked. Simon giggled softly.

“Can I watch?” he asked quietly. Wilford smiled cheerily, and Dark gave Simon a little kiss on the forehead.

“Of course, little one, you can sit with Blankie while it’s in the wash.”

Simon sat at stared at the washer as his Blankie tumbled, and then sat for even long as it tumbled in the dryer. By the time it had finished, Simon’s head was lulling, held up only by the side of the dryer as sleep threatened to take him. Wilford entered the laundry room to the sight, and smiled as he wrapped the warm blanket around Simon and carried him to his room for a nap.

I headcanon that Simon has autism (writing a fic of it^^) but how does the other egos help him when he gets overwhelmed/sensory overload? And what autistic headcanons do you have of Simon?^^

I also see him as autistic!!! I see a lot of traits that I have (empathy for inanimate objects, tendencies to lash out when stressed, easily overwhelmed, defiant, etc etc) in him but it’s rlly nice to know other people headcannon him as such :D

Autistic regressor!Simon Headcannons

🌱Very easily overstimulated; if something has the wrong texture, the lights are too loud, something is too bright of a color, Simon is crying for his cg because it’s too much.

⚙️Simon is usually non-speaking when regressed, so he uses very simple and cute communication cards! When he’s a little older, he has a tablet with an AAC program, but he prefers his cards. (He usually uses his tablet when he’s overwhelmed and not regressed)

🌱A very fidgety baby; Simon has a really hard time sitting still, and he has a lot of different fidget toys that are safe to chew on because it will more than likely end up in his mouth-

⚙️Self soothes by chewing on things with interesting textures, similar to a teething baby. It helps him calm down and regulate to have his jaw moving; the only problem is that Simon will chew on anything.

🌱One of his favorite things to chew on is his tangle because of all the different textures on it, so he has a tangle to chew on and one to fidget with.

⚙️He has a system of which plushies are for playtime and which plushies are for cuddling; if you try to play with one of his cuddle plushies that live on the bed, he’ll take it from you and put it back on the bed.

🌱Simon is a bit prone to tantrums because of how easily overwhelmed he is, and that would include throwing and hitting things. He is very apologetic afterwards, but he needs a bit of time to calm down.

⚙️He loves space and space-themed baby toys, so a lot of his things are soft toys themed after stars and planets! One of his favorite toys is a large, weighted star plushie that he cuddles with all the time, big or small.

Simon LOVES showing off his favorite toys!!! Since he doesn’t usually talk, he usually just holds them up and shakes them in Grace’s face excitedly! With Rocky, he usually holds it up to his little crystal device so that he can “see” the toy!

Ryland will always clap and praise Simon for showing him his toy, and Rocky will trill and roll forward carefully and bump into Simon, like a headbutt! Simon giggles both times before giving them a hug and going back to playing.
