Syrian Girl Recovering for Life-Saving Surgery in Italy
Two-year-old Limar Quassim is a refugee from Syria who was born with congenital heart disease, which could not be treated in her war-torn country. Last week has had life-saving open-heart surgery by Prof. Carlo Vosa at the Hospital Policlinico Nuovo, in Napoli, Italy. Prof. Vosa has provided life-saving surgery on dozens of Arab children through the PCRF over the past ten years. She is being cared for by volunteers in Napoli and traveled with her mother Shukria. Special thanks to the PCRF Jordan chapter for finding her for surgery abroad.
