i don't mind, but yeah there's a massive issue with how the fandom handles scavengers. i've seen people say some straight up racist shit about them. considering that scavengers are the most intelligent wildlife in rain world, and are easily comparable to early humans, it is extremely concerning that people keep calling them monkeys, and some people call them savage apes, and have such deep hatred for them that they genuinely enjoy seeing them suffer.
it really seems like a lot of people in this fandom have some racism they need to work on with how they talk about scavengers, constantly villainising them, dumbing them down, refusing to reason with anyone trying to criticise their views...
artificer didn't help the fandom's view on scavengers either. it only made people even more willing to express the violence and hatred because suddenly its "justified" (as if artificer's whole campaign isnt tl;dr "artificer fucked up"). i'm forever of the opinion that i wish artificer's campaign was scrapped (for many reasons, not just the whole scavenger genocide thing).
but, don't worry, i don't plan on making any extremely violent gifs of them for this blog, we are dedicated to silly and whimsical scavenger gifs here :)
