Not too many TV shows have made me feel that way that Regular Show has. Over the last 8 years I've found comfort not only in the characters and storylines, but down to the way the characters are designed, and how they interact with the world that they're in. There's something so cohesive about the chaos in every episode and long-term the show's creators found a way to create moments that are unforgettable. Things I'll laugh at until I'm old, guaranteed. It's almost surreal that one: this show is over now And two: that I never got the chance to work on it. It was a goal that I'd had for years, but the timing was off. I haven't finished the series yet. I'm afraid to. It's a chapter that I haven't felt like closing yet, because I guess a part of me feels like until I watch the finale, there's still some infinitesimal chance that I'll get to do some art for the show. Ah well. I started the series over again not too long ago and I'll finish it this time. Maybe. -- A fun thought: I met JG Quintel once. Well, actually I didn't meet him. I was TOO SCARED. But I did stand directly behind him while waiting in line to get some brownies from one of Cartoon Network's barbecues. DIRECTLY BEHIND ONE OF MY ARTISTIC HEREOS. Inches away from picking his brain. I shat the bed tho. In my defense, it would've been very weird to talk to him then, but the brownies were dank, so I guess it evens out. One day I want to meet and talk to the guy that showed me that I could still make weird, unsettling adult things for kids, and find a balance. I will.
