In fact: I’m gonna call this The Regularverse
it's very strange to not be writing/editing "regular" chapters in the morning......guess i should pick at smth else
i just.........have so many lingering ideas for this story but i just didn't want to drag "regular" on for that long, y'know? i said in the last chapter notes i could do a side fic about how aomine fits in the friend group, being kuroko's ex and all, which i didn't make clear in the fic itself ever.
like idk i'm just not fully done with that universe i guess but i'm worried about what to do with it next, if anything, and i certainly don't want to say "i'll do [thing]!" and then......not do it
big shrug, the most likely thing i'll do is just talk about it a lot w/ my gf, have fun doing that, and take down some notes once in a while to keep to myself forever
talking about side stuff for the universe of "regular" and i literally got tears in my eyes laughing at a schitts creek-esque scene where akashi, who is rich and does not cook for himself ever, and kuroko, who can't cook for shit, decide to try to cook a meal one night and get stuck on a step like, i dunno, folding cheese and kuroko calls kagami about it and kagami just can't explain with words how to do it and it's this back-and-forth thing that ends in "wait you called me instead of looking it up"
i just. made myself and my gf laugh over it. she's watching schitts creek while i write and yeah
also love the idea of akashi, raised to be perfect and to win at everything, being bested by a basic cooking technique
i started writing a post about how after friday's chapters of "regular" i had nothing planned and i hit a block but then i remembered the catalyst of the end i had in mind so i guess i'll be wrapping it up soon?
i mentioned in the tags of my last post that i had an aomine subplot figured out but idk if i want to put it in.......i feel like it'd kinda drag on and be out of place in this style of chapter story-telling. maybe i can mention what i want to in passing somehow
i could potentially end this fic in under 40 chapters, we'll see
the hardest part of "regular" is gonna be figuring out how to end it........like there's no conflict and i didn't rly plan one out and idk if i rly want to get into one, i just wanted smth nice to write. i think i have an end point i just need to figure out when to get there and wrap it up so that it doesn't go on forever.
rn i have 33 total chapters planned out (so 7 unwritten) that could either be broken up or condensed, so i think it'll at least break 40, but i'd like it to not break 50, that's so many.
i mean part of me wants to see how long i can keep this going but a larger part of me is like nnnnnnno end it while you're ahead and not bored of it
gf helped me brainstorm some stuff for "regular", mostly background/worldbuilding things that idk how much will come up in each 100-word chapter but is rly good for me to know
also the next few chapters might be about one thing which i was trying to avoid bc i wanted each chapter to be as much its own thing as possible but we'll see if i can condense things w/out losing too much
i accidentally came up with a lot of details fit for longer chapters but not great for these v short chapters, oops
“You think you have all the luck but then something really unlucky comes along...”
