NALYN VER KYTAK || Aryneth, the Third Asyentai Cycle

Nalyn here is the bartender/owner of an inn in the city of Redsaea called the Eye of the Sandstorm, who started as a random NPC for my DnD campaign, that I've developed into a whole ass periphery character that I'm writing a short story about!

I fucking love it when a random character fleshes themselves out to enrich the landscape and makes me fall in love with them completely within a few seconds of creating and playing them.

Her father worked at the inn, so she grew up spending a lot of time there, even getting on the stage every once in a while to entertain guests with her singing. When the owner who hired her father was ready to retire, he wanted to pass it onto him for all his hard work, but he wasn't nearly as interested in the prospect as his bright, clever, no-nonsense daughter, who leapt at the opportunity and continued the tradition of the Eye of the Sandstorm living up to its name, as a moment of quiet within the relentless maelstrom of life.
