Kai & Nya Headcanons

Kai may resemble Rei to the point where Minne mistook him for it, but he has Maya’s personality. Actually, both Nya & Kai have their mother’s personality (calm on the outside, but lots of rage/emotions on the inside). Nya resembles Maya, but hints of Rei are visible in her eye color and habits. 

Kai’s body temperature runs hotter than most while Nya’s runs normal (the only catch is that her body temperature doesn’t fluctuate unless the temperature changes really harshly).

Both have a rather difficult relationship with failure. With Kai, it’s failing his family—not being strong enough, surviving w/o them, etc. Nya, it’s herself. She isn’t good enough if she fails (stemming from being the perfect child so Kai doesn’t have to worry about her—jokes on her, he worries anyway).

Kai & Nya speaks both Iganish (kinda the Spanish equivalent) and the Ninjargon due to Maya’s influence (for Kai) & Kai kinda continues it with Nya. 

Kai’s the neater one. Nya’s kinda like “as long as it’s not in my way—it’s fine” (remember season 2?). Kai’s not overly controlling, but he has “an order, Cole, please keep it.” 

Kai enjoys making things like Nya. Although, Nya works more with gadgets and smaller technological items; Kai prefers traditional weaponry (probs b/c of his upbringing).

Loyalty is the name for this family. Rei & Maya stuck with the Spinjitzu Siblings. Kai & Nya stuck with Minne and Lloyd. Forever intertwined to be family. 

P.S. Rei’s name is spelt this way b/c I headcanon him as Japanese (or the Ninjago equivalent?).
