turns out this wasn't an asuka-centric episode like I thought. REI?!
🥺
24, 32, and 48 for rei?
24. are they close to any family members? Depends on the definition! She's a nameless orphan, but considers Mayumi to essentially be a sister to her-- they grew up in the same orphanage, futons pressed up next to one another. She loves her husband (she's Teuchi's second wife, lol) and her stepdaughter, Ayame. ...she keeps a lot of secrets, though. Good at compartmentalizing. 32. which of your decisions led to their voice being the way it is? She's one of my for funsies Naruto OC and not a TTRPG character (at the moment) but somebody in the first shinobi war child soldier squad needed to be, like, shockingly well adjusted. 48. do they relate to anyone in their group? conversely, which person do they relate to the least? She relates to Mayumi a lot, obviously. They have the exact same background! The decisions she makes and the decisions Mayumi makes tend to dovetail pretty wildly, wrt general well adjustedness and uhhh whatever the hell Mayumi is doing with her depressed drunken spirals... tho ironically Rei is the one adjacent to [gestures] a lot of Konoha's worst war crimes (the Hokage's personal assistant, lol) and Mayumi is out here trying to wrangle every freak in Konoha's hospital into something resembling order and basic morality (oh, the irony). She likes Uchiha Haruki, but his upbringing is pretty alien to her. They bonded anyway. Uchiha Nori (jounin sensei) is just, a complete mystery to her, though. His whole Thing is that he genuinely believed in the Konoha dream to at least SOME capacity and feels abjectly fucking betrayed by evidence that this [waves hands] shit wasn't going to happen anymore, after the Senju and Uchiha stopped stabbing each other. Rei is cheerful and pleasant and upbeat and has never had the luxury of believing in peoples better natures, least of all when she never should have been graduated as a Genin at ten if they didn't need more warm bodies.
😳e-excuse me
I just beat Persona Q.
What? Crying? No, I'm just sweating from my eyes.
