Yo, blair, lemme share you a story about my Philadelphian stepmom/stepsis! They came to the US when sis was a baby, so she doesn't speak much Philadelphian. Stepmom on the other hand, does speak it, but she's gotten rid of her accent when she speaks English. So this one time they went to Philadelphia and stepmom was talking to stepsis in English. These two other Philadelphians overheard and start speaking Philadelphian about 'stupid tourists' and 'leave us alone, bitches' and stuff.

So of course stepmom ain't gonna stand for people talking about her and her daughter like that, she just turns around and coolly says, in Philadelphian, "We're not tourists, ladies." Stepmom says the ladies turned bright red and left in a hurry, and up until she told the story over dinner, my stepsis had no clue what had just transpired. My Philadelphian stepmom is awesome!
