Ho boy! Here's a body type I haven't drawn before!
Takihiko is 32's self-proclaimed cousin and actual nephew of Reikou. He and Mizuaki have been long time friends and have been working together for about a century. It's rare to see one without the other even if their personalities seem to clash. The last time I've drawn him was back in 2011, so I kind of changed up his look haha~

What is the fic you struggled the most with and why? How do you feel about how it turned out?
Definitely Changing Tides for a few reasons:
1. I’m not used to writing for a teen/YA demographic.
2. I had to build Rei and Gou’s budding relationship from scratch and build an entire story around it. In a way, it’s a companion work to my previous fic for them (Overdue Meetings, which set some of the early groundwork), but it was much tougher to actually delve into both of their heads in CT. Aside from one brief moment in season 2, there aren’t any flirtatious moments between them (or even development really, aside from the fact that they began bickering more in the second season).
3. I wanted to keep Rei and Nagisa’s dynamic the same, but also give Nagisa a bit of a wingman role. At the same time, I wanted to keep Gou’s toughness, but also show how her friendship with Rei and Nagisa had grown and was still growing. I don’t like to overstep my bounds in fan fiction since the characters are not my own, so staying as true as possible to all three was very important to me.
Overall, I’m okay with how it turned out. It’s not stellar, but I do think it’s cute. Not to mention, it was a huge stretch. I’m used to writing for characters who either have an ongoing romance between them or something so close to it that they barely even need a nudge to act on their feelings. It’s certainly not perfect and it’s such a stretch, but I had fun writing it and hopefully, people find it a cute, enjoyable read.
