Yggdrasil frowns at her reflection in the long mirror. She’d recently deduced that her usual attire is irredeemably offensive, based on the inordinately strong reaction it’d received the other day.
For the better part of the morning, she’d been walking in circles around the Mermaid Cove Mall’s clothiers. She’d drifted from store to store and still hadn’t bought a single item. There were just so many colors, shapes, and styles that she couldn’t make heads or tails of what she needed.
Slipping her hands into the deep pockets of the ill-fitting jumpsuit (not that she could tell), she turns and cranes her neck to examine a different angle of the garishly colored thing, as if it might help make up her mind. It doesn’t.
Out of the corner of her eye, Yggdrasil spots a familiar head of golden hair. Waving and politely inclining her head, she greets in her boss in wind-chime tones, Good morning Miss Reines! What a pleasant surprise to see you here.
