‘Lead me, Lord, please make me a servant unto thee.’
As I prayed it this morning, I would have never expected the following thing to come.
On my way to apply for a job, I -again- had been so sure of myself and instead of looking up the exact address.. I drove around town and upset some car drivers with my turtle racing and looking out for street names.
Well.. so I decided to go into a flower shop which I’ve always been wanting to visit.. observing, sniffing and acting like an interested customer, .. I was asking for the way.
That sweet lady turned her GPS on and told me where to go. And I countered: ‘OH YEAH ! Do you have Petunias ??’ Taken her by surprise, I remembered Mom had been asking for some.
When I returned to my car a skinny, strangly appearing Lady stopped me. All I could think of: 'Oh-oh.. I knew the day would come when somebody would complain about my parking.. ’ But she had just been a 'normal human being and civilist’ (as she explained to me later on) who had just missed the bus and needed a ride to her working place. So I took her in.
On our awkward 15min ride, filled with smalltalk and bad jokes, we finally got to talk about faith ! She was so excited about me being a christian as well, mentioned her struggle with work and how she could not find any church but is fearing and praising the Lord all by herself -with a guitar as a single woman.
Before she left we could find a little time to pray and she knew: 'All I need is you, Lord.’
God, thanks for leading us and being the GPS for our lives.
.God Provides for his Sheep.
( .. better be careful what you pray for :D )
