I was tagged by @daydreamingdragonage!
Here is the last line of the last chapter I finished on my Cassandra x f!Lavellan fic. The first chapter is up on AO3 as a placeholder, and you can read it here, but it can’t really stand on its own--I plan to post the whole thing at once when I’m finished. Cassandra narrating:
Without hesitation, she offers me her sound hand and I take it gladly, holding her other palm out in front of us, illuminating the trails. She slips my hand into her warm pocket like a child with treasure, and I am content to leave it there. I am content to be treasured, to be found, by her.
I’m tagging @spectre-tabris and @relax-o-vision because their fics have occupied a treasured spot on my bookmarks bar for MONTHS but I’ve never said hi. So hi, I really enjoy your work~

it's not wooloowoo characters who are killed off constantly. it's lesbians. bisexual characters get to live. women who are not available to men are worthless. don't obscure the issue.
i’m so unbelievably offended that you had the audacity to comment this. also astounded. everyone take a moment to look at this great example of biphobia.
glad to know i won’t die as long as i don’t date women!! so long as i continue to make myself available to men i’ll live!! how comforting!! as long as i push myself far back enough in closet that i only present a straight facade to the world i won’t be murdered and mocked for my love and attraction for women!!!
also you potato i used wlw specifically instead of lesbian because delphine’s sexuality wasn’t explicitly stated so idk if she was bi or not and hey!!! people can headcanon whatever they want!! but all we know is she is attracted to women not if she isn’t attracted to other genders so i used wlw!!
“bi women get to live so shut up” un be fucking lievable. you know somehow for some reason watching women who are attracted to other women getting killed over and over again is just as bad for bi women. because we are women who are attracted to women!!! it’d be nice if i didn’t keep seeing the participants in the types of relationships i have dying!!! oh well!! guess i’ll just watch another straight love story and ignore this big part of who i am because hey!!
bi women get to live becasue we’re useful to men! so thankful that the men who make movies don’t kill us so they can fuck us later!!
go step on a lego you rotten walnut

are you searching for fantasy rpgs specifically? maybe i can recommend something if you tell me what youre looking for.
yup, pretty much! i’m not big into most scifi/futuristic settings or things with diablo-esque combat (tho i could live with it if the characters are good and it has an easy mode), so i’m not really sure what’s out there. i don’t really trust most reviewers lol so i feel a bit lost searching for new games myself. if you have any recs, i’d defs be willing to try them! ^^
@relax-o-vision god, same. Corvo/jessamine worked fine ambiguously, and making corvo explicitly emilys biological father just feels really, really cheap and unnecessary. Those were my main concerns when they announced corvo/emily as the protags for dishonored 2, and alas. But i never anticipated them straight up making corvo a pedophile. Also making a same sex relationship a corrupting influence on both billie and breanna is way fucked up (especially because billie is confirmed bi and breanna is either killed by the pc or abandoned by her gf), but unfortunately that i pretty much expect from video games.

is. that game any good? I've never played any of the persona games. only read that they're extremely time consuming.
nvm I just read you have to be a dude, lol
the only one with a female protag is persona 2: eternal punishment but i haven’t really found the attention span to get thru the old games yet, tho i’ve heard great things about them as far as story/characters go. you can play as a girl in the p3 portable version (which might be on psn for other systems not sure), but that locks you into dating dudes if you wanna date. :/
i highly recommend the persona games if you like jrpgs...imo, its the best series of the genre, but they’re probably only enjoyable if you come in expecting level of offensive/gross bullshit. they touch on social issues a lot more than final fantasy and other series, so a lot of stuff can be hit or miss. i play games mostly for the vibes/immersiveness (if that makes sense lol) and i think atlus is the best rpg company when it comes to merging aesthetic/music/gameplay for a really sleek experience. all the games are super time consuming tho...i’ve heard this latest one is can be 100hrs+. atlus in general makes the only turn-based systems i can genuinely enjoy cause it feels a lot faster-paced. the game defs suffers from some bullshit ‘fanservice’ type parts, and has gone backwards in some senses (there was a gay romance in the earlier games but they haven’t had one since).
the fanservice is especially annoying considering many of the villains are misogynists/abusers...it takes away a lot from the strength of the narrative. i don’t go in expecting much plot-wise from most games, tho, so i’m happy to beat the crap outta some misogynist even if i have to roll my eyes at the swimsuit scenes. even with that, imo they do still write the misogynist villains really well, and i LOVE a lot of the female characters.
Was someone gonna tell me that Boris got a cat, or was that something I had to find out myself?
