Deuteronomy

Deuteronomy 1,2

This historical back summary is really nice to see. There was a lot of detail in the past 3 books and I didn't really get a sense of what was going on. But here it is clearly a story of God's provision to bring them into the land. Not only that, God wanted a generation that would seek Him and trust Him to be the first inhabitants of this land. So many mistakes in the past but is allowing for a fresh new start. I need to get on that. There is much that needs to be done in my life to get a hold of my holiness and really strive to be a part of this chosen, set apart generation!

Deuteronomy 3

I am struck by how God allowed a land named after a great king to be named after a nomad in the Manasseh tribe! I think it is cool how God can turn a situation around like that and give His lowly people great things!

I like the verses up to and including v22. God gives evidence of His power and tells us not to be afraid but that the same power that was exerted in the past will be there for us today! God himself will fight for you!
