RP and Fanwalker information from War of the Spark

Hey! Finished reading war of the spark, and figured I could gather together relevant information we get in the book on how things go for War of the Spark. I will try to not spoil any plot points when able, but that might not always be possible. The order of events will at least be there, if not who’s involved. Will be under the read more and tagged appropriately.

This is what I thought of so far, if you have more, don’t hesitate to send me an ask, a message, to add it in a reblog or something else and I’ll add it.

The Beacon is activated before Bolas gets there. It manifests as motes of lights of the five colors of magic only planeswalkers can see when they’re not on Ravnica, and planeswalkers fill a pull towards Ravnica that might even be able to redirect their planeswalking. They’re not forced to come, but they do feel this pull. The beacon stays activated for most of the first day, but is shut off later in the day. Even potential planeswalkers can see these lights, and it might help trigger an ignition.

The whole war takes place over a day, starting at dawn and ending at dusk. There’s a few minutes before Bolas arriving and the Planar Bridge opening. Then Eternals start to enter and attack Ravnica. As far as I can tell, few if any left the Tenth District. The Immortal Sun was active from the beginning. It gets shut off after the beacon does. The planar bridge then shuts down and no more Eternals enter. The immortal sun is then reactivated later in the day, after a window where planeswalkers can leave. At the end of the day, Bolas dies and is disintegrated. Or at least everyone on Ravnica thinks so.

Harvesting a Spark needs an Eternal to grab you, rip out your spark at which point you die and your body dries up. The eternal then explodes and the spark flies towards Bolas. God-Eternals can harvest sparks without exploding, although they’re all pretty busy during the war.

Eternals don’t enter buildings to chase civilians. They might to chase planeswalkers. Eternals can see who’s a planeswalker and who’s not. They also don’t fight at the maximum of their ability.

Every planeswalker in the Tenth or Ravnica receives a telepathic message at some point from Jace asking to regroup at the Azorius Senate. This message happens soon after the Eternals start harvesting planeswalker sparks, which isn’t immediate after they arrive. The Eternals start only killing civilians in their way, and only later start to actively hunt down and Harvest Planeswalkers.

Confirmed species among the Eternals: humans, avens, angels, demons, drakes, dragons, minotaurs. No mention of Nagas but they are in the cards, as well as various animals.

Planeswalkers can survive going through the Planar Bridge, although there’s a constant stream of Eternals coming out of that, and it hurts a lot to do so if you’re organic. The Immortal Sun’s effect does not extend through the Bridge, you can planeswalk away from Amonkhet.

Lazotep is a good conductor and can be magnetized. Its melting point is lower than most rocks.

theoretically: for maximum spam efficiency (as in density) one could set up a queue to run from 11pm to 12 am and 12 to 1 am ny time and u could get jailed two days by running a total of 500 posts on a total of 2 hours

OR for maximum piss off efficiency one could do the same but instead just setting the posts to spread out during the full 24 hour time making it a sure way to piss off every possible timezone and also jail yrself for two days
