Kingdom Come: Religious Lore (Al-Hasan, The Western Wastes)

The Hasanic Pantheon (Part Two)

The old gods of Edenfell have died in the eyes of the Hasanic community. In their stead, the inhabitants of Al-Hasan have achieved apotheosis. Men now walk as gods in the mortal realm. Or at least, so they claim. To most, they seem nothing more than nobles with too big of egos. But in Al-Hasan, their names remain immortal, their power indomitable, their divinity indisputable.

Mansur | God of Conquest General of the Hasanic military and the First Rider of Simdan’s Four Horsemen. Mansur oversees the day-to-day operations of the nation’s soldiers. He decides where and when the armies will strike, cooperating with Simdan to coordinate the tactics of the army with the vision of their king. In combat, Mansur wields a longspear when mounted and a bow when dismounted. He rides a rhinoceros named Karkadann into battle.

Sakina | Goddess of Peacemaking General of the Hasanic military and Second Rider of Simdan’s Four Horsemen. Despite what her name implies, Sakina does not only negotiate with foreign powers. If her terms and conditions are not met, in or out of the nation, she takes what she wants from her negotiator by force. She is a master of intimidation, thinly-veiled threats, and secrecy. She knows every move another will make before they make it. In combat, Sakina favors the usage of poisons regardless of her most common weapon, the legendary bow, “Plaguebringer”. She rides an elephant named Ghalib into battle.

Basma | Goddess of Justice General of the Hasanic military and Third Rider of Simdan’s Four Horsemen. Basma judges the talents of new recruits, the transgressions of disobedient soldiers, and the future of prisoners of war. Despite the burden on her shoulders, she earned a moniker - “The Smiling Scales”. Basma constantly carries a set of scales around with her that she uses to weigh the fates of those around her. Oftentimes, one’s future is left entirely up to the luck of the scales. No matter the outcome, there is always a smile on Basma’s face - especially when she delivers her own...personal brand of justice. In battle, Basma wields two yatagan when mounted and a number of throwing weapons when dismounted. She rides a tiger named Grimgrin into battle.

Humayra | Goddess of the Red Thread Attendant and newfound advisor to the Sovereign of Al-Hasan. Humayra served Abdallah two generations ago, Hala after him, and now Simdan and Medea. Practically ancient now, Humayra understands the ways of the world and, more importantly, its people. She keeps tabs on every single person - who they are, what they want, what they think, what they fear, what they will do to and for royalty. Humayra possesses a surprisingly naughty sense of humor and a penchant for mischief, but refuses to allow anyone else to break rules. She is well-aware of her hypocrisy, but does not care. She is, perhaps, the only person in Al-Hasan who does not fear Simdan. Despite her current prominence, she was once just a simple seamstress on the streets of Al-Hasan. Rumor has it that Abdallah made a position for her in the palace after becoming enchanted by her tapestries - and, supposedly, her quick wit and shapely body, too.

Mustafa | God of Chains and Conviction A renowned god of the Hasanic pantheon. His land houses the worst prisoners and criminals in all of Al-Hasan after they have been judged by their king and their goddess. Mustafa tortures these prisoners by night and forces them into manual labor by day. Prior to his job as a jailor, he ran a successful winery. Now, his slaves work the orchards by day, tending to the fields and shipping the products, only to return to punishment when the sun sets. Mustafa is known for his endless cruelty, rivaled only by his growing paranoia. He believes someone wants to usurp his position, that another god will swoop in and claim his keep. He has taken to locking himself in his room, allowing only his advisor, Dezeer, entrance inside. He refuses to even punish the prisoners himself anymore, forcing an elite force of slaves known as “Convictors” to do his dirty work for him.

Esmaire | Goddess of Self-Indulgence A goddess growing in recognition throughout Al-Hasan more and more by the minute. Esmaire runs the country’s leading brothel, named the Oasis, situated atop a natural spring in the midst of the nation’s endless deserts. Wine imported from Mustafa, women - or men - hand-chosen to suit the customer’s desires, the Oasis is a veritable den of desire. Esmaire is known to do anything for the right price. However, she is fiercely protective of her girls. Whereas other brothel owners turn a blind eye to the blatant abuse of their patrons, the Oasis refuses service to those who abuse their privileges. Esmaire has knocked skulls together more than a few times, be they man or woman. Rumor has it that she has taken in plenty of girls off the streets in the hope of providing them with work instead of having them dragged into the bondage of other gods. Some say all that coin she makes is secretly for her slaves’ salaries.

Isa | God of Wisdom and Wealth The wealthiest god in Al-Hasan. Isa has advised countless kings, Hasanic or otherwise. He has watched the nation triumph with Hala on the throne. He has watched as the nation slowly descended into madness when Abdallah lost Hala. Now, he watches to see how Simdan stewards the crown. Unlike other gods, Isa strongly objects to the new pantheon. He is the sole remaining worshipper of the Sealed God in Al-Hasan. Although many have tried to subdue him, he has too many supporters, allies, friends and servants to strike against him. His death would cause a national revolt. Simdan knows this, and so begrudgingly allows him private worship. Isa treats all those in his household with respect. He does not believe in slavery, but employs slaves solely as a means of keeping them out of more sinister hands. He is rumored to even work alongside of them, seen scrubbing floors late in the night or teaching children on his study breaks. His whole house holds the deepest devotion to him.

So this is lore shit, idk if Tumblr is gonna eat the quality but its mostly religion/social things
