The Speech
First of all, you should know that my father is a minister at one of the churches of christ in my hometown, and this is usually how i am identified by the older members of my community.
ANYWHOOOOOO-- I usually work the lunch shift on sunday mornings, and the night before i have the closing shift. I usually get home around 11:30-12am and then get back up around 8 to start getting ready for work. If i got up every single sunday for church, i would only get about 6 hours or less of sleep!! (THATS RIDICULOUS).Unfortunately, my parents think otherwise.
Once a week, if i didnt go to church, my parents will very rudely make a comment on how i didnt wake up that morning and go to church with them. I always tell them its because i get in late the night before and therefore i would not get enough sleep. They then proceed to tell me about how i am a bad christian because a sunday church service is my first priority and that i should WANT to be there every chance that i get. Just. Like. Work. And then they go off on this long, almost rehearsed, speech. So to my fellow “Church Authority Kids” (children of preachers, ministers, deacons, elders, teachers, secretaries, etc...) PLEASE do not let your parents ingrain this into youur heads! Our god is a loving God, and i believe that he will ALWAYS forgive you, no matter how many times you miss church. He will always be there for you! He is a good and loving Father that will always care for you.
So STOP letting our parents tell us this lie!! If you need a little extra sleep for work in the morning, then have a chat with God while getting ready for work! Sing some hymns or listen to the local christian radio station in your car on the way there! But NEVER let people tell you that your church is the only way to get to Heaven or that youre not good enough if you miss.
END. RANT.
it’s 15% off your purchase at the new liquor store by my house tonight and tomorrow (didn’t know until I got there) and the guy at the pot shop gave Kyran and I a free gram just because . God wants me faded
Reading tea leaves for @dahanci.
I see a witch hat, which could symbolize your religious awakening... You've been thinking a lot about religion lately, right?
This looks like a rising arrow coming out of a cloud. You're definitely coming out of some bad times, and doing better than ever!
This bit looks like a deformed heart. I'm tempted to compare it to our friendship, though 'deformed' may be the incorrect word for what we have... And this part looks like a cross. Maybe Christianity is a good place for you to look right now. Or perhaps there is suffering going on, some kind of sacrifice...
Lastly, a tree in a plantpot. You're certainly restricted by your surroundings, but you just grow cutely <3
I think your overall reading is neutral, if not good, and I hope mine is okay, too!
Ash Wednesday (from last night)
Today, I prayed as I walked across campus. I saw the sunshine and the beauty around me and I felt the awe of God's creation. It made me realize just how much love there is in this world and how I need to really work on sharing it instead of stomping it out.
I talked about people today, in ways that I shouldn't have. I was upset with them, and chose to talk about them behind their backs. Is that any way to start off the Lenten season? I felt guilty, really. Today made me realize that I will have to constantly remind myself of the promises I made.
I can't forget, ever. Live by love. Love comes first. Love my friend, my enemy, and anyone who I encounter in my life.
All I can hope to do is improve from here.

Random fact about people.
I've seen a lot of posts about God today. Everyone is posting some stuff like "If you love God reblog this" or "If you truly believe in god you will reblog this". Well the only thing I always think when I see this posts is that everyone should live his religion for his own. I mean even in the holy book for muslims it's written down that the ones who live their religion for their own without blaming people for not believing are the best believers. I do believe in God and I think everyone has a right to do what he wants. I don't feel like reblogging those posts because I don't have a religion because I want to show others. As long as God's in my heart he doesn't need to be on my blog.
This is my opinion, if you want to blame me or unfollow me for this I'll be okay. xo
About Christian Posts on Tumblr or generally posts about God
First off, don't get me wrong. I'm a Christian and I love God. Posting about Him on Tumblr is completely fine. I mean, we're here to express what we truly feel, right? But here is where it gets kind of annoying. When people on here post about God, there is always that additional pity-whore type of follow up message. Such as "If you don't love him, ignore this." "99.9% of you won't even reblog this." or "I know you'll all just scroll pass this." Like, seriously. You sound worse than a priest who's forcing people to get into the church, get down on your knees and pray for God's blessing. Please tell me what'll happen if we don't reblog your posts regarding God? Will we get hit by lightning? Or will you know about it, find us then kill us? Do we need your posts to assure us that we are Christians? You're worse than my grandmother. Just stop. You're just making everyone feel guilty so you'll have a huge amount of notes. Stop forcing people to reblog your friggin post just because you think you're God's one and only devoted fan. If your post is worth reblogging, people will reblog. If it's not worth reblogging then I hope you don't feel bad. Getting something off your chest is worth everything.
Anyway, I usually just read and reblog some of them. Not all. I especially don't reblog those with pity-whore follow up messages. Get a life. You need it. Or better yet:
