Hanging around Tumblr somehow manages to decrease my already non-existent faith in humanity so I feel like I have to write those.
1-) People born in minority groups are ok. People born in majority groups are ok. Bigots are those who aren't ok.
-Men aren't problematic - sexists are problematic!
-Heteros/cis people aren't problematic - homophobes and transphobes are problematic!
-Whites aren't problematic - racists are problematic!
-Rich people aren't problematic - capitalism and pay gap are problematic!

-Both men and women can be sexist. Both men and women can be against sexism.
-Both heteros/cis people and LGBTQ+ members can be homophobes/transphobes. Both heteros/cis people and LGBTQ+ members can be against homophobia/transphobia.
-Anyone of any racial group can be racist, both against their own race or other races. Anyone of any racial group can be against racism.
"NEVER judge people based on which group they were born into. With never, we mean actually never - not depending on which group and as you see fit."
-Of course, you're still a dick if you use those messages of equality for oppression apologism.
2-) Religions aren't races - they're ideas and no idea is above criticism. Believing religion to be stupid and backward does NOT make one a xenophobe.
-Pointing out the damage religions dealt to humanity in history is ok.
-Pointing out the damage religions are currently dealing to humanity is ok.
-Pointing out anti-science or inhumane verses from holy books is ok.
-Pointing out statistics that say atheist are happier, 'smarter' and less likely to commit crimes is ok.
"If you're disturbed by others pointing out tangible, objective counter-evidence because it goes against your ideas, there's probably something wrong with your idea."
-Of course, this doesn't mean you can claim all believers are terrorists. Regardless of what proof you have against religion, you can't claim all those who disagree with you must be horrible people.
3-) It's ok if people's ways of looking at events differ from yours. Don't immediately antogonize people for disagreeing with you - focus on the context and try to understand where they're coming from instead!
-Of course, it's ok to antogonize bigots and idiots. Life isn't black and white, this statement is true even for the statement itself. Find the balance on your own.
4-) Human lives matter above all and if you care more about your bs ideas than innocents dying, you're the biggest fucking dick of all dicks and you don't deserve anything.
