Jak and Daxter remake thoughts-
Jak and Daxter should just go full FF7R y'all. It worked there and it could work here. Jak 2 involves a stable time loop so you could handwave the changes if people cared.
Jak 1 has a ton of cut content that you could bring back in a remake. For example, there was a cut village for the Yellow Eco sage with some surrounding areas. Daxter was playable, Keira had a bigger role, there was a third playable character who was a pet they could raise, Maia could see the future and other aspects that could make the game more interesting. You could even reverse engineer Jak's character from the later games to make the transition easier.
It's the 20th anniversary Sony. Just give us something.
I'd even settle for the Lost Frontier....
Because years ago Naughty Dog express regret over how the Lost Frontier turned out. So they should remake that game and make it a better swan song.
Plus its easier to start from something than nothing. Keep the broad strokes and skew a bit older.
Jak has more in common with Joel than he does Crash. So use that to incentive the crew.
Having Jak be a kid appeal character again would be a mistake. They should aim for the T rated audience and maybe M.
Maybe.
Plus this concept art of Jak works better than we got.

DmC rewrite part 2.
I don't mind keeping NT's vision for the reboot. I'd just change the gameplay structure more. Instead of the linear mission based structure, I'd go for an open world structure. It's more God of War than Red Dead.
DmC feels like a movie when it should've been a tv show. Capcom focused on changing the wrong thing. Plus it solves NT's main issue which is the lack of replay ability and side content. I loved Enslaved but it's not a game I need to replay again.
This new gameplay structure allows you to further develop the world and characters more. DmC Dante's journey from apathetic Outsider to Defender of Humanity could be more gradual.
Ninja Gaiden SNES remake thoughts-
Team Ninja doing an FF7R style remake could work wonders with these old classics. NG3/Yaiba were considered failures by fans/critics so this is could be a way to win back the crowd. A new game could also do that but this approach feels easier. I thought about replacing Ryu in these games with his father Jo. So it's a fun framing device where Jo tells his son of some past adventures. Its not essential but it would be an interesting way to tie the two series together.
You could poke fun at the 90s and have some cameos from DOA.
I think NG3 was going for a more reflective and sincere vibe that the games hadn't earned. Mostly because the Itagaki era didn't really care about storytelling.
So You gotta crawl before you could run.
Jo is an easier to get there because he is more of a blank slate. We met him when he's in his 50s so focusing on him in his 20s makes it easier to sell.
Him going from a wide eyed Rookie to a hardened Warrior is something that could hold your interest for multiple games
I know in this remake, a lot of what it was will be lost and new things will be gained and that's all well and fine but... could they PLEASE, for me, keep the stupid-ass 90's punk fashion? Give me NPC's walking around Midgar in leather jackets and studded boots, piercings galore. Give me those dumbass red liberty spikes and girls with ripped crop tops, those stupid pointed shades, and purple bob cuts. Act like it's 100% ordinary.
