Remember to Forget | Scarlett & {Open}
It hadn’t been difficult to find an empty building, most of the non-residential places had little use in the new world. She’d spent the day before setting it up, clearing out office supplies and bringing in her personal training equipment, leaving the address with a few members of the Viceroy staff to give to anyone that wanted to find her. She'd felt herself becoming more and more tense in the weeks after Ishtar’s death and she knew better than to keep letting it build. They were working on controlling the city, not destroying it.
She lost track of time, letting herself slip into the simplistic joy that came with pushing her body to fight harder, faster, cleaner. She’d always had the feral grace of the large cats she was so fond of, even in her day to day life, but it was never more clear than when she was fighting that she was a predator. She came to an abrupt halt, a hand steadying the punching bag hanging in front of her as she heard footsteps nearing where she’d set herself up. Turning to face her guest, she brushed damp curls from her face and raised an eyebrow. “Did you need something?”
