today's revision is in lead up to my (Remi's) last semester 1 exam - advanced partial differential equations! I am actually kind of sad to be finished with my maths module as its been refreshing and a change of pace to my other modules, and it's a shame my timetable doesn't allow for my lecturer's second semester module on integral transform methods.

Today I (Remi) am getting back to the grind and am on the final stretch for my cybersecurity module - our task is to analyse and update an insecure blog website, learning how to code with PHP and the techniques a pentester may need to have when faced with an unknown system. It’s again a quite fun task as far as courseworks go!

Uni starts up next Monday for me, and it’ll be a few weeks of stress finishing off semester 1 and sitting a few exams... but I’m eager to pass it and looking forward to the new modules I’m going to learn next semester!

today I (Remi) am focusing on my web and cloud security work, which is analysing a start up business and trying to identify their vulnerabilities and weaknesses. it's a big assignment and I feel like I'm going round in circles, but thankfully I'll be done with it within a week!

fun fact about myself! I use working as a coping mechanism! (Violet has assured me that they do decidedly Not do the same)

3/100 Days of Productivity

Remi here, today studying some more of my green electronics module. I’m starting to work on the first of my courseworks and am very happy with the progress I’ve made today! We are analysing the experimental results of a tested solar cell.

I am titling this one "Death by Dissertation"

With both a coursework deadline next Friday, and a dissertation due the following Tuesday, my next week will be very busy work wise. I had a week's holiday celebrating my late Grandpa by visiting his favourite island, and a day off yesterday for my birthday celebrations. Hopefully this last push will see me through to almost the end of the academic year - barring one exam!

Today’s Sunday tasks started off with some more self-paced maths work - which is proving a bit of a challenge for me, but something enjoyable at the same time! I am trying to keep on top of this module, else it’s a lot of mid week work for me.

I’ve spent a bit of time doing some research into homomorphic encryption - my research topic for the year, which should prove to be an interesting choice. I’ve been doing background reading on RSA, as well as trying to understand a couple of papers. All my batteries are feeling very drained, despite only having had one week at uni, but I’m looking forward to the week ahead regardless!

(And in bonus points, I made it to my desk today too...)

Hello there for the first time from Remi!

Uni doesn’t start until October, but pre-requisite work has been given for my Maths module (Advanced Partial Differential Equations)! I’m currently trying to recall my knowledge on hyperbolic, parabolic and elliptic equations and am tackling Laplace’s equation first!

(I promise I am going to make use of my desk this term, and I was just eager to give my first bit of revision a go while sitting on my bed, but fear not - my back shall survive this semester.)

My brain hasn’t switched on fully quite yet, but I’m really happy I got the chance to do a Maths module in my degree! I might need to put a bit more work in for this one, but I’m eager to do so with my other modules, so expect many a maths worksheet posted once term properly starts!!
