i knew disney was bad already. disney is terrible even - both at paying their workers and making movies that arent b-tier at best. but this. THIS. this is what makes me want to throw up.

this EXACT quote from the EXACT article in the picture says:

um... first of all, youre excited about this? youre excited about animators who put blood, sweat, and tears into their work to have their artistry basically shat on? second, “more engaged experience” my ass. this is only going to make people LESS engaged. third, “create and consume user generated content?” don’t tell me disney+ is becoming tiktok.

even if i wanted to doomscroll disney+ (which, by all means, i do not), i know half of the content i’ll see is just ai slop generated by third graders without a sense of humor, and the other half will be riddled with ex-4chan users typing out their disgusting sexual fantasies with their dorito crust hands.

everywhere i look, the world gets worse and worse and nobody even KNOWS what they’re doing. our world is being held by threads and people continue to play with it like we have a second earth we can use when we’ve broken the first one.

what happened to ai being used to assist, and not to create?

if you make art, draw something human. if you write stories, write something emotional. if you animate, design, sculpt, dub, or make fucking magic spells, just do something with your gifts.

I GUESS THIS IS FUCKING HAPPENING.

we’ve officially passed our first “climate tipping point”. that means the effects of multiple small changes in climate all affect the climate in a larger, much more noticable way.

climate change has pushed coral reefs past their limit. and this isnt in one single place or one single lake or one single ocean, IT’S AROUND THE DAMN WORLD.

if we keep this up, warm water corals are certain to pass a “point of no return”. and according to the article i got this from, points of no return are just the tip of the iceberg that is actively melting as we speak.

i’m tired. i’m exhausted too. every time i wake up, i’m sweaty, my head aches, and there’s twelve new problems that every person in power refuses to solve. (because apparently a 300 million dollar ballroom is more important than the climate problem.)

mother nature is actively filing for divorce.

we can do whatever we can to at least do something to stop it. i.e. recycling shit once in a while, ceasing the support of large businesses, using websites such as ecosia or oceanhero in favor of google, and (i’ve said this twice and i’ll say it 25 more times) STOPPING THE USE OF AI. look, i’m still in the process of quitting things like character.ai too. it’s like trying to drop a cigarette cold turkey. but once you learn the responses are skewed, get predictable, and can barely be compared to real human conversation, it gets easier.

we can do this, i know we can. im barely an adult yet, and im watching the world go to shit, but i know that theres a chance.

a chance.

but of course, if you choose to ignore this message, just know theres no planet b. there’s no sequel to earth.

every time i come across a new issue i will have to inform everyone. and todays issue is dealing with... well, do i even have to say it? you probably know what it is already.

WE CAN NEVER TRUST ANY IMAGE ON THE INTERNET EVER AGAIN.

if you dont know, g**gle, very recently, just announced their new artificial intelligence model: nano banana pro. first of all, what the fuck is a “nano banana”. with such a stupid and silly name, it’s almost like it’s designed to distract you from the fact that one of your relatives was most likely fooled by an ai image, and your time will just come closer.

i read this godforsaken article. i didnt want to, but i just couldn’t believe this was happening. spoiler alert: it’s happening, and it’s never gonna stop until the earth is reduced to burnt ash.

this is an image from the article. the image on the left was what the model was given, and the image on the right was what it vomited out. the text is readable. the patterns are accurate. fuck, even the scientific name is spelled correctly. i guess one of the only things that arent exactly consistent are the shadows on the pot, but nobody’s gonna pay attention to that. this looks like it was made by a human.

remember back when ai was only a dream? when llm’s that could comprehend and respond to human language were only figments of wild untamed imaginations? remember when ai could barely draw basic anatomy without going haywire and giving people crossed eyes and melted arms? remember when ai could barely tell how many fingers were on a hand? remember when ai used to lag? forget? make mistakes? be inconsistent?

yeah, i do too.

its a shame to think that if this continues, theres a chance that my future children could be watching ai-generated saturation-injected overstimulating constantly-moving slopcontent, while the best thing i can do is sit back and watch.

there’s nothing any of us can do after all. ai is everywhere and any attempts to try and stop it will ultimately fail. it’s like being locked in a burning building with gasoline and a pack of matches. ai images are here to replace yours. ai text is here to replace yours. ai videos are here to replace yours. ai songs are here to replace yours. soon, ai bots will be here to replace you.

of course, theres no laws against it. the president is too busy giving out blowies and starting cults to satisfy the public anyway.

i assure you, reader, there’s nothing worth “talking to chatgpt” about or “telling copilot to generate a 4k image of.” in fact, theres something between my legs id like copilot to generate a 4k image of.

with my previous rants, you’re probably thinking “dear god, not this kid again.” i swear this time it’s a non-serious issue. to you its probably not, but to someone like me, it is.

why is everything on crunchyroll behind a paywall.

my friend was talking about an anime she was watching and im like “oh thats crazy i should watch that” so i go to watch it and i see that stupid fucking crunchyroll persona bitch or whatever her fucking name was cuz nobody gives a shit and i had to pay to watch that show.

im like “oh that sucks” cuz im broke as who knows what and my wallet is currently being rented by flies that dont even pay rent.

so i look at the cr catalog and i see this really cool anime that interested me. if you want to know, it was called “cells at work” and it had a 4.7/5 rating and on the surface it looks basically like osmosis jones but for anime and im like “damn this must be good”

BOOM. PAYWALL. FUCK YOU.

i go to the catalog again and i see hetalia. im like “why the fuck not” and youll never guess.

PAYWALL. P-A-Y-W-A-double L.

so those are my dreams of getting into new fandoms crushed again.

i try to search the popular tab, and it turns out i cant watch ANYTHING.

demon slayer? tough luck.

jujustu kaisen? nope.

attack on titan? in your dreams.

my hero academia? as if.

solo leveling? you wish.

assassination classroom? you’re kidding.

one piece? you better cough up a couple of ones if you want a piece of this anime, bitch.

chainsaw man? i dont fuckin know, smoke some weed and hallucinate the episodes or something.

crunchyroll must be on some kind of drug to let literally EVERYTHING in their catalog to be locked behind bars and the only key being a “7-day free trial”.

you know what i think it is? money. EVERYBODY just wants money. i want money too. i bet you want money as well. but baiting people onto your website and trapping them in a box and the only way out is to give you money is just atrocious.

ANYONE that’s out there for the love of all that’s holy let me know if theres another anime-watching site out there or i swear to god the pirate bay is going to gain a new crew member.

tl;dr crunchyroll is in a state of collapse and nothing is good anymore
