Nurblr community, talk to me about work from home nursing jobs, please. Ideally ones that aren’t triage.

Background: Six years RN (BSN) experience, last three in critical care managing anything from traumas to STEMIs, CVA, post code, Covid, etc. My goal this year is to get my CCRN.

I want to stay bedside (currently PRN) but with having two kids and little to no help (relying on baby sitters, which isn’t cheap and not the most reliable) I’m having to figure something out ‘cause obviously bills aren’t going to pay themselves.

I’m so tired of feeling stuck.

Sidebar: if anyone has figured out cloning, now would be a great time to share that information. ‘Cause that would fix a lot of problems too.

Nightshift

Not sure if I'm hungry, tired, nauseas, needing a shower or a combination of all of those. I also need a cuddle buddy ASAP.

Just gotta laugh

Aunty looks at Becs legs that are usually covered by long work pants (my housemate and fellow grad). ... 'Oh wow sis, you're proper white aye!' Me: giggles uncontrollably and runs away quickly. Hehehehehe didn't feel like so much of an outsider today. I love that the aunties and I just get along straight away.

Cyclone

Today I found out the hard way that even if there's a cyclone, it's raining, and you phone the courier an hour and a half before your shift starts... You're still expected to walk to work. They usually pick us up or drop us home anytime it's raining - but apparently not in the middle of the day. Too bad if you're on an afternoon shift. I wasted an hour waiting to be picked up and no one came. I ended up calling a taxi - but it wasn't a good start to the day. I got hardly any sleep last night because the wind and rain was soooo loud. Never experienced anything like it. Not dealing too well this week - wish my brain would sort itself out.
