Educational post. If you watch my videos or know me you know I flip my lid when someone says they picked or levered off their enhancements. And this is why. I left my nail too long before doing a refill, then I caught it on something and the acrylic overlay ripped off my natural nail. What you can see is the layers of the nail. This is what happens (maybe not to this extent) whenever you pick off polish, gel, sns, acrylic etc. You rip off layers of your nail, which thins the nail, leaving them more prone to breakage. And this damage to my nail will be there until it grows out. It cannot be fixed, there is no magic cure. This part of my nail will be weaker for about 6 months, until it gets past the free edge. And it fucking hurts! 😭 So, use nail polish remover, or soak or file (carefully) your enhancements.
