My (fav) Remus Lupin Characterization:
My Remus is gentle and tender. He is shy, and a bit clumsy. He's smart, and calm, and lovely. He is also funny and sarcastic (not in a rude way, but more in a Stiles from Teen Wolf way), and mischievous too.
He's a people pleaser and it's not very good at setting limits. He's firm with his morals. He's afraid of a lot of things, but as he's self-deprecating he can be a little bit reckless because he doesn't think that people would miss him if they lose him.
He could spent hours just reading, and he's passionate about animals (mostly bugs). He's fucking bad at potions, but fucking good at baking. He's extremely self-conscious.
He has a sweet tooth, and absolutely loves chocolate. He drinks his tea with milk. He loves classic music and jazz and blues and pop but in a classic old way. He loves romance books and novels, but also terror and sci-fi ones.
He tried smoking once, and it didn't go well, he avoids it except on very rare ocassions. He hates drugs but has tried medicinal ones, and he drinks once in a while.
He gesticulates a lot, but only if he's talking about something he's passionate about and in a safe place. Otherwise, he seems stoic.
He's all long limbs and has pianist's hands. He has a long nose too. He's fucking tall, but he loves to be the little spoon because he feels safer that way. His lips are chapped and he strains his eyes instead of wearing glasses.
His knees hurt when the weather changes. He loves sunny days but only if it's a bit windy so he can wear a cardigan.
He loves hugs but he almost never initiates them. The same goes for other displays of affection.
He's not a morning person but he wakes up early. After full moons, he has very deep sleep, but before them, his sleep is very light.
He recognizes when he makes a mistake and is not afraid to apologize.
He loves with all his heart and soul. But he thinks people can't love him.
He is a family-man, but he is too afraid of someone depending on him.
He would sabotage his own relationships, and all the good things that happen to him. He's tired of trying, but it takes little to convince him to keep doing it.
He's a good person, a good man, who doesn't do everything perfect, and has his flaws, but whose heart is big and kind.
