On This Day in History May 2, 1519: Renaissance master, inventor, painter and sculptor Leonardo Da Vinci (April 15, 1452 - May 2, 1519) passes away in Cloux, France.

The Punishment of Marsyas is a painting by the Italian late Renaissance artist Titian, painted around 1570-1576. It is currently housed in National Museum in Kroměříž, in the Czech Republic. It's Titian's last finished work.
