A review for Wicked by Jennifer L Armentrout. I don't know how she does it. But she's did it again and she just keeps on doing it. Yes, I'm reading this series after finishing most of the series she's written after writing this one and I'm love it. Like every female character Ivy is badass. She's brave and strong and amazing. I love her beautiful, curly, red hair. She's a member of a secret society called the Order. The Order hunts the fae, they are one of the most deadly creatures that roam the world. They feed of mortals to have a long life span, it helps slow down their ageing process. Like all the members of the Order, it is her duty to hunt them down and kill them. Losing her family and her first love at the hands of the fae fuels her to do her duty even more. A cold blooded killer is roaming the streets killing the members of the Order. Renald Owens a member of the Elite, a secret society inside a secret society, is here to hunt that killer down and stop an impending takeover by the fae. He's so dreamy and swoon worthy. He offers Ivy everything that she wants, that is, something more than just her duty that she needs to do. Ivy's past comes in between them, her fear of loosing the people she loves and cares about comes in between. She's doesn't form close attachments to people because of this fear. She does give in to her feelings and it's heartwarming. Ivy and Ren, together show that the most important this the right now, not the past or the future. The right now hold hope for them. JLA gave this book a plot flipping ending. I couldn't even believe the way things just twisted. JLA has set this story in New Orleans, the mystical hub. I want to visit New Orleans and eat a truck load of Beignets.
