something something Renata ends up joining sides with the Bad Guys™ because that's easiest and most available, ensuring that she doesn't die and also not really having much hope for anything else because everyone else is seemingly dead, so what's the point? but then she sees Ashe again and then goes through a bit of a crisis on what to do next, eventually deciding to try and save him without getting the Others suspicious which with how she's changed and developed over the years (?) isn't very difficult at all, she just needs to ignore some of the care she still has hanging on however this leads her to be someone almost unrecognizable to Ashe, someone he can't approve of or like, but also those ties and the past tie them together too much for him to just feel only negatively about her something something
