Atop Rendezvous Peak above Jackson Hole, late May 1972 with Tsultrim Allione. “It was the day he took acid up there” Tsultrim recalls. Photo snapped by Ron Zimardi / Ravi Dass. This moment immortalized in these lines from Allen’s “Denver to Montana””
High on Rendezvous Mt. gazing cross Gros Ventre Valley Jackson Hole roads etched distant, Crag-rock'd snow skirts round Teton's grand stonepeaks, lodgepole pine fringed glaciers -- To Moose, A Ah Sha Sa Ma Ha 3 Chords C F G -- Change Gurumantra? -- Silent openeyed half hour gazing cross green soft valleyfloor -- silent clouds slowshifting thru blue dimnity --
