bad girls go to vegas
At one of the largest green-flocked tables, one of the Seven Cat’s regulars is busy winning money he doesn’t need. It is his third casino of the night, and this time he intends on breaking big.
drama queen

René generally tops with other men for the most part, but he definitely bottoms or even subs for women. that boy lives to get pegged honestly.
BIJOU griffon vulture : female : rené chevalier
Though arguably considered unscrupulous scavengers who will do anything for a snack, vultures have a deep sense of compassion and are far more sociable than people might be inclined to believe. Like all bird daemons, they enjoy an extended range of travel away from their individual - for vultures, this gives them a greater survival advantage. It is very hard to pull the wool over a vulture’s eyes, as more likely than not they’ve already been watching you for the prior week and knew exactly what you were doing all along. It’s not that they don’t trust people, but they are so easily misjudged that they like to make sure they are safe in a person’s company before growing too comfortable. They are enthusiastic and sometimes their friendship can be a little overbearing, but they are generally good-hearted and will offer a lot of themselves to the right person.
FIDGET ring-tailed lemur : female : fredrik thorgisl
If a child spends most of their life hanging upside-down at the top of a jungle gym, it’s often said they will either end up as a bat or a primate. Children who settle as lemurs will often take this one step further, considering gravity as a mere suggestion rather than a strict rule. They are effortlessly energetic and are not used to experiencing downtime, always able to occupy their mind with something or other - a lemur will never grow bored. They are often very intelligent, but may struggle to direct this in what might be considered an ‘appropriate’ direction, preferring instead to pursue the things they alone find interesting and ignoring anything they don’t deem worthy. They are easily pleased and easily contented, happy to go along for the ride as long as they have the people they like with them.
ARTEMIS long-tailed weasel : male : teddy montague
Weasels fall in with rats when it comes to negative stereotypes - rarely will you find a weasel working in a bank or a lawyer’s office, and it is not due to the individual themselves. Though thought of as untrustworthy, selfish or even malignant, they are in fact clever, sharp-minded individuals who have learnt how to survive in a world that doesn’t always make it easy. Perhaps there is a tendency towards looking out for themselves before others, but this is not necessarily a bad thing - they are enduringly tenacious and do not give up easily, and once they have achieved their own goals they will, more often than not, go back to aid others. They are gamblers, not just with their money but with situations, and they will keep on gambling until they win. Weasels, with their risky behaviours and high-stakes lifestyles, arguably have a tendency to get themselves into trouble at times; fortunately, they also have an unerring ability to get themselves out.
Daemons: 1x 2x 3x 4x 5x
In a world where cryptids are controlled and catalogued by an international advisory department, Louisiana wendigo René Chevalier tries to get by in a society that is making it increasingly difficult to survive. Despite being granted special permissions by the Regulatory Board for the Greater Unknown to consume human flesh (providing the appropriate background checks are conducted on the individual, of course), he nevertheless lives his life in a tangle of bureaucratic red tape and visa denials, and seems to spend more of his life in beige waiting rooms than anywhere else. He can't quite understand this - as far as he's concerned, he follows all the guidelines, jumps through all the hoops, and is ultimately all but harmless.
If only someone would take the time to explain to him exactly what sorts of things he forgets whilst he's wearing his feral face; explain exactly why the RBGU is unwilling to give him the freedoms they provide to others. If nothing else, it would clarify why they're so reluctant to allow him across the borders.
Merry Christmas From The Family | René&Shireen
Late late late, The word went on over and over in Shireen's mind as she ran across the streets, one hand flying up to keep her hat from flying away with the wind, the other grabbing at her scar so it wouldn't choke her. Though she didn't care much for the holidays, dying on Christmas would probably bring everyone's spirits down. She definitely did not want that. Her family was not the kindest when their spirits were down.
She hadn't agreed to go Christmas shopping with her Aunt just to keep her family from getting upset about their lack of gifts. She liked giving gifts. When she was a child, her mother usually just took her with her and they chose whatever. When she reached her teenage years, her parents decided that they had trusted her with choosing appropriate gifts and keeping herself safe, so for the past few years Christmas shopping had been something she'd done on her own. And, to be honest, she preferred it that way.
When her Aunt had called her about it, she was skeptical at first, wondering why she hadn't just gone with her those two friends she was so fond of. When she realized that Hey, her aunt wanted to do family things together for the holiday without arguments She'd decided to give it a shot. Nothing to lose, right?
Except, maybe, her dignity as she ran towards the bookstore they had decided to meet in front of, her coat flapping behind her and her hands occupied with handling pieces of clothing. She stopped in front of her aunt, kneeling down with her hands on her knees as she panted.
"I'm...so sorry," She said in between breaths, "For being late. Mother...wouldn't let me go...until she gave me a list of...instructions." On interacting with you. She thought it best to leave that part out.
