The Wormhole
15.The awful dinner
It was ma8, dinner time."Rennid si ydaer!" shouted her mom. The three went to the dining room & sat on the chairs. It was opposite of what Neha expected to happen."So, the only difference between this world & my world is the language.", thought Neha. Well, there are other differences which Neha still hasn't known. Her mom said that she had made Ahen's favourite, Kalap Reenap. First Neha didn't understand, but then she realized that it was Palak Paneer. Neha too, squeaked delightfully that that was her most favourite curry for some soft & tasty chapati. Her parents looked surprised by the fact & felt delightful. Neha extended her plate towards the curry and eagerly waited for the tasty treat. But a disgusting surprise awaited her.
Her mom served the leaves directly with some powdered paneer mixed in water. Also, there was only one small chapati & the curry was more than the chapati. Her parents were looking eagerly at her. They wanted to know if she liked the curry."Evah ti Neha, uoy evol ti,thgir?" said her mom."Sey", said Neha. She took a little piece of chapati & dumped into the curry. Then she slowly stirred it out of the bowl & and brought it near her mouth. She glanced at it."It's disgusting", thought Neha. She took a look at her parents whose eyes were staring at hers. She couldn't bear if they felt sad & depressed because of her. So, put it in her mouth and immediately regretted. She turned so green that she looked like a chameleon. She felt like spitting it out, but chewed it and choked it down.
Ahen's mom, with sparkling eyes & politeness in her face, asked if it tasted good. Neha stuttered that it was face-licking good. Instantly her dad cried that he already knew it because even Ahen loves it. Neha said under her breath," Seriously ?"Ahen's parents began gulping down the curry and chapati. Neha just stared at her plate disgustingly, & then she too started gulping down the food. She made sure she didn't touch the food with her tongue, so she completed dinner, before anyone else. Her parents chuckled happily seeing her completing before anyone else. Neha scurried to her room without turning back.
