#MapMondays! Italian architect Renzo Picasso's 1920s plans for "future New York" in which he envisioned new bridges, multilayered streets, aereogarages (plane runways in Manhattan), and subway stations. Picasso's multilayered highway had levels for trains, planes, cars, and parking and would cross Manhattan in multiple areas, continuing across the East and Hudson and Harlem Rivers. Maybe an early inspiration for Robert Moses?
