The article says the total number of consumer bankruptcies is going down year over year, the percentage that are repeat bankrupts has steadily climbed. Third-time bankrupts have become common in some provinces. Fourth and fifth bankruptcies, once almost unheard of, are now possible. Repeat bankrupts include real-estate agents, roofers, restaurateurs, tax lawyers, and drywallers. With each bankruptcy, they are required to take two financial counseling sessions.
