It is important that everyone understands what this verse means. There is absolutely NO WAY that man can enter, OR EVEN SEE , the kingdom of God without going through Jesus Christ. Jesus is the ONLY way, the ONLY truth, and the ONLY way to God the Father (John 14:6). Jesus is the BRIDGE between fallen mankind and God's holy Presence. No amount of works that we could ever perform can justify us and save us. Pastoring a church, singing in a church choir, being baptized, reading our Bibles, etc etc etc never saved anyone. The religious Pharisees already tried that and they failed miserably. They rejected Jesus, GOD'S SON, and crucified Him. They thought they could get to heaven on their good works and religiosity. Praying in the streets, attending the synagogues, appearing "religious, their attempts at earning God's favor failed. Someone recently made the comment on one of my posts that it's not necessary to be born again if you've been baptized in the name of Jesus. Most of us know better than that but it's not unusual for people to think they can earn their way to heaven. So I want to clear that up right now. God's word says what it means, and means what it says: 📖🕊John 3:1-8 There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. 2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born? Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes.
