Early on in my fic-reading for this ship I read Attraction is just a form of Gravity and it gave my brain a new default setting, man.

In full, that setting is, "Essek is technically vers but prefers to top; Caleb is honestly just happy to be included, but bottoming is his first choice".

I was skimming through your blog and came about and ask from 2023 regarding sensitivity and orgasms with phalloplasty.

I had my phalloplasty 5 weeks ago (stage1) and was wondering if you could give me some advice. I am happy that I did it but I am worried about how sensation and the way to achieve orgasm changes.

At this point I can't / am afraid to do anything about it. Especially at the place of clitoral burial (like grinding with full body weight) and since I can't feel the phallo itself yet.

At what point did you stop being paranoid about hurting yourself? Is grinding harmful even when healed since pressure could damage the lengthened urethra? If not how long would you wait? And I know you mentioned having an ED. Did you try out external devices you would suggest?

First of all:

To your question: I was able to masturbate without pain (which is not to say I was doing so when it DID hurt) after a little over 3 months post-op (erotic sensation came back after 2 months; YMMV, I have crazy healing factor). However, for all I know that might have been too soon, because I did wind up with a urethral stricture that's bedeviled me ever since, as well as two fistulae (one closed up on its own, the other needed a quick surgical correction). [ETA: I don't have evidence either way as to whether or not these things are related!] Your surgeon will know best here and in hindsight I really wish I had asked mine instead of giving in to natural urges right away. It's not just your urethra that's healing up, it's also the connection between the neophallus and your torso themselves, and it would supremely suck to accidentally mess up the attachment process.

Once it's fully healed (typically the one-year mark), grinding is fine healthwise and a highly excellent experience.

I haven't tried out any external devices for rigidity to date - I'm the only out, single, adult queer man in a one-hour radius so I haven't exactly had any partner prospects since I had to move out to the sticks - but I've heard that "double bagging" (wearing 2 condoms at once) is sufficient to get rigid enough to penetrate a partner or toy.

In terms of devices for masturbation, the Radiance stroker by Humptoy is the only stroker I've found to date that's truly pre-implant-phalloplasty-friendly, and it works a treat. I think the saddest part of the highway drama is that people aren't talking about a ready-made path. We are used to walking in the woods next to a road. YET, the way US roads are made is not like European ones are. Nobody in Europe is ACTIVELY hostile to people without cars, there are plenty of cases where that is true in the US.

I have to ask: do the shoulders there often have like 45° or steeper angles to the road? I've done a fair bit of walking by highways in Texas and the shoulders are usually very steep. On the Turnpike the main problem is that it's not nice level woods beside the highway, it's poisonous swamp—so what starts as grass can become water a few meters away, and what starts as shallow, muddy (poisonous) water can become drowning-deep with any step. Even if US highways weren't populated with madmen with road rage, the swamp would make it too dangerous a prospect to consider. And then even if you did make it to the stadium alive you'd be covered in mud at least up to your chest.

There are folks pushing for more walkable cities, but from what I've seen, the walkability of rural areas is barely even an afterthought. :( Like I would love to get on board with the anti-car movement, I really would, but man it's a 45-minute drive each way just to pick up prescriptions from the closest pharmacy where I live, and I can't get my meds delivered; it would be a 12-hour walk. It's even longer to the closest grocery store that has more than a small selection of frozen and shelf-stable goods. Some of us out here literally cannot get by without a car—and realistically there aren't enough of us in any one place for rail companies to consider laying down tracks here (not to mention the steep, rolling hills on all sides, where I live).

Sorry, I'm rambling, I'm tired. Yeah, the US overall is largely very hostile to walking, both in terms of infrastructure and inexplicable bloodlust, and it fucking sucks. :(
