“Hey --- uh, Dan?” Eddie cleared his throat. “I just, uh, wanted to say thanks --- for everything you’ve done for me. You’re a cool guy.” He could not be that guy if he was in Dan’s shoes.

“Alright, can you NOT do that?” Eddie gripped onto the door jam and closed his eyes as he tried to hold Venom in. That lasted about ten seconds at most before the symbiote broke through with a tremendous cackle. ‘ LET’S GO! ’ Venom made his presence known, totally engulfing Eddie in his blackness. ‘ WHO IS FIRST?! ’ Ready and willing, the alien questioned who he could destroy first.

“Look, man. I don’t have any answers for you and I’d appreciate it if you’d STOP following me around. You’re not gonna like what you find.” Venom laughed in Eddie’s head, waiting for the chance to come out. Not yet. . . not just yet.

Was she --- JUDGING him? Eddie blinked before his gaze was set anywhere other than on Kara Danvers. “I didn’t really have a CHOICE in that matter.” Especially not now, they were kind of a packaged deal. “What you’re talking about it different and I’m FAIRLY sure that it’s gonna get me killed but I’m willing to TRY and stop this shit before it gets out of hand.”

“And at what point, exactly, did you think it was a good idea to follow me up here? You weren’t even trying to hide, were you?” And if she was, well, she SUCKED at it. “I’m just doin’ my job.” Maybe she should mind her business elsewhere.
