Standing there with his arms outstretched, Stiles wore a crimson Christmas sweater, complete with sweatpants and tall grey socks on his feet. A headband with reindeer antlers sat upon the mess of his hair atop his head, red face paint on his nose. There was a blue present bow placed near his heart on the sweater, lips pulled into a vibrant smile at the woman he loved more than anything else in the world. The twinkling of the lights on the tree glimmered in his amber spheres as he gazed at Malia with nothing but adoration, as if he was seeing her for the first time after he’d realized he’d fallen head over heels for her.
“It looks perfect,” Stiles almost cooed, a lighter tone of voice filling the room, one that wasn’t used too frequently. He just wanted the holidays to be perfect, especially for Malia. “Last time I decorated the tree, I wound up wrapped up in the lights and uh, it wasn’t pretty.” He placed his hands upon his hips then, examining the tree from the distance. Laughing lightly, he shook his head then at the thought of Noah having to pull over too many drunk drivers. “He’ll be occupied for a while, yeah.” Approaching Malia, his gaze fell onto the box she offered. “You didn’t have to get me anything, Mal. I just wanted you to be here with me and my dad. That’s good enough for me.” Stiles insisted, then brushing by her to wave at the presents under the tree. “There’s a couple for you under there. You know, one from me and one from my dad.” Finally, his eyes flitted back to his girlfriend, eyes crinkling with delight.
