little guy alert… @blightsending
Come to an end ; Self
He saw it coming, he really did. He knew the consequences for disobeying authority and he knew exactly what they would do if he didn’t kill her, but he didn’t care. It’s not like he wasn’t ready— he’s always ready. With the things QUEEN already put him through, he wasn’t surprised with what came next. Nothing could faze him anymore; he was stoic.
"Ares." The man spoke up, the chair to his own office turning to present the man he hated the most: Heo Changsung. Nothing changed in appearance, though he seemed to have added a few scars to his body, the brunet mentally noted.
"That’s not my name." Byunghun sneered, his face blank and emotionless, "You know it isn’t. My name is—"
"Byunghun, I know."
"Then why the fuck did you call me by a name that isn’t mine?"
"Because you know that name will always be attached to you, Ares.” Changsung said simply, his voice deep while his lips curved up into a smirk, leaning forward against the desk with hands placed together. “You’ve used that name ever since you were little; ever since you learned how to use a gun. That’s the name you’ve used whenever you held the gun to those poor and innocent people. Ares Lee, that’s you. QUEEN’s cold hearted killer. The one who’s killed—”
"Stop." Byunghun pleaded. His body was stiff and his visage was long gone. He knew the man was right; he always was. This only made the man in black’s smirk grow wider. "I know… I know who I am. I know who I’ve killed."
"Then why is Kim Shinyeong still alive?" The man’s tone was harsh, scary even. "Your objective was to abduct, kill, and send the body to headquarters, but you didn’t. You let the bitch live and roam around the streets of Seoul like nothing had ever happened. You know exactly what happens when you disobey.” Byunghun fell silent, not even daring to stare at the dark brown orbs that scanned his every feature. The room was quiet, but Byunghun wasn’t stupid. He knew that they weren’t alone. Two more men hid behind the dark corner of his office, waiting for the signal to attack and kill.
"Answer me." He spoke even harsher, his dark hues moving to the men in hiding. They approached with caution, only a few feet away from Byunghun. "You know, it would be such a shame if your little Sohyun was injured, don’t you think? The last thing she’d see was your bloody body lying dead on the floor… Maybe Chae Marie would like to see our hometown, eh, Ares? It’s such a beautiful place! We could let her see Labor Camp 14."
"Stop…" The younger barely whispered, his fists clenching into tight fists, but the other wasn’t done. He knew exactly what Byunghun was up to when he was sent to Seoul, who he was with, who he loved. “Please… stop… I was wrong…”
"But we’re just getting started!" Changsung cheered, "How about that boy Adrian? It would be such a delight to see him covered in blood and bruises! Don’t you think?" Closer and closer the two men got, a gun in one’s hand and a blade in another’s.
"I’ll come back to Pyongyang with you… I’ll do anything you want." The man seated held up a hand, making the others come to a standstill. "Just don’t hurt them… Any of them."
"What a good choice you’ve made!" The man spurred on. "Say goodbye to the ones you love— Oh wait, you can’t. You can never see them again. You’ll be missing… erased from their minds because you are nothing but a worthless toy to the agency."
Truth be told, he didn’t care if he didn’t come back alive. It was those who he loved he was worried about. He knew that QUEEN wouldn’t let them off easily; it was always guilt by association. Please stay safe.. Please don’t let them hurt you… You said to trust you, so I do… I love you. All of you. Good bye. I’m sorry I couldn’t protect you. Forget me.
