It bothers me so much when people make fun of me for mishearing or misunderstanding certain words or phrases because it makes me feel so self conscious about my hearing loss. I know my response sounds funny because it was unrelated to the topic that’s being discussed, but it still makes me feel so bad even with my hearing aid and trying to read lips that sometimes it’s hard to understand people in places that tend to be crowded and noisy 😔😣
