Miscellaneous pride district info Pt.1
- Despite the whole thing being like a corporation, there is no money, or any other currency. In fact, depending on situation, trying to introduce currency or bring money into the district can get you in serious trouble. All the living essentials are provided automatically, such as clothing, office supplies, food, bathing spaces ect. The amount of stuff you have depends mostly on how good you are at trading or finding whatever items are imported from other districts. But be careful with trading, it may also get you in serious trouble depending on context. Demons and creatures native to the district, aka the punishers, are allowed to own more items, whereas the souls doomed there (the ones being punished) don't even own their clothes.
- If you don't come via dying in the mortal realm, it's possible to move up the ranks to some degree. Pride district often takes in demon criminals or other miscreants that have been sentenced to community service or other punishment. Hell of course deals with their own criminals case by case, and district by district. Except when it comes to the neutral district, since it has no High judgement and thus isn't anyone's Court automatically
- The pride district is direct neighbours with the void district. Sometimes this manifests in the Void leaking over to the office spaces, creating a sort of "abandoned" area of backrooms where entry is forbidden, but, nobody enforces it. Don't go there, but if you do, good luck and bye bye. Very few know how to properly navigate the backrooms and come back to the safe office sites again. Although even if you know a fair amount, the backrooms are fluctuating and unpredictable. The building is finicky at best around these areas and you may get caught in a collapse or fall through the floor. Or get lost wandering forever (punished souls are sometimes sent here, but only if ruled by the high judgement aka Delilah). Or end up as Reputus' prey
- Oh yeah, about that^, Reputus nests in the abandoned backroom areas. And they're usually hiding, but if it feels like something is slithering through the walls get the fuck out. Since this area isn't technically ruled by anyone (see: abandoned), they have permission to roam and plant a watchtower here as well. But if they were to enter the normal office spaces, Delilah could legally punish Reputus. Legally of course only means she's allowed to, but that doesn't mean it'd be easy. Worst case scenario, she has to call Hart over to deal with Reputus, which has only happened once fortunately. Of course, knowing that Reputus is a big gossip, and also has towers quite literally all over hell, they'd be convenient to ask for favors, but they drive a hard bargain most of the time. Still, they're a good source of information, acquiring items you typically couldn't, or delivering things (like messages) in places the Pride district doesn't ship them. Just hope that they're in the mood to make deals, instead of hunting you
