Author's note: first of all, thank you for requesting! i decided to do this in form of headcanons because i thought it would be more dynamic, so at first it starts with jealousy in general and then shifts to randy. hope you like it <3 also gif is not mine, but look how pretty he looks !!!!!

i think mickey is a rather complicated boyfriend with the whole jealousy thing.
not because of him being very jealous but because he’s a mix of chill but still jealous.
but it think that’s normal, though,,,
he’s very protective, so he’ll probably always watch you to make sure you’re okay, and he likes keeping you under his sight.
but he knows jealousy can ruin things pretty quickly so he always tries to cool down and think how he would feel if the situation was the other way around.
that usually does it, but mickey starts getting petty if he starts considering you’re being too friendly to a certain person for a long period of time.
“oh, you need help? well, why don’t you ask them for help, uh, darling?”
it amuses you, more than anything, because it doesn’t come from insecurity. it’s straight up jealousy and envy when you spend too much time with any other person, full stop.
but at the same time, mickey isn’t stepping up unless you look really uncomfortable with whoever you are.
if he steps in, it might just end in a physical confrontation because, again, these are really serious situations.
he never lets his jealousy become an argument between you two, that’s childish and possessive. it probably has only ever happened once or twice and he has apologized profusely because he truly does trust you.
KNOWS when someone just wants to take advantage if you or something, and he’s absolutely telling you. what you do is out of his hands.
because mickey is the type of boyfriend who is very aware he has no say in what you do or you don’t do. that’s very present in his mind, all the time.
if you purposely try to make him jealous WHILE DATING know that he hates you (and so do i) and will soon dump you.
he really isn’t fucking around that, he wants to trust you, have you trust him back and be loyal (the bare minimum).
however,,,
if you purposely try to make him jealous before dating, you better get your ass ready since two can play the game and he’s flirting with every single human being who blinks and breathes.
he’s so competitive, so are we surprised?
his eyes are always on you, no matter who you are with. mickey always watches, and he does it out of love tbh.
he never asks, though, if he doesn’t know the name of the person/people you’re with.
he just magically finds out and will casually drop the name of whoever he thinks you’re spending a lot of time with to see what reaction you have.
“i didn’t know you knew taylor, mickey. you should have come and said hi!”
the person he probably gets more jealous of is randy, hands down.
he loves the dude but mickey actually sees randy as competition when it comes to you.
he’s charming, funny, with great taste, intelligent, and you do get along… if you met mickey in the first place, it was because of randy.
it doesn’t make him insecure or anything, he just thinks he’s an actually plausible option for you.
so if you start getting very close to randy very often, expect a moody mickey.
because he’s obviously not admitting he’s jealous.
he never does admit verbally that he’s jealous of anyone, you just find out because of the things he says.
“mickey, is that jealousy i’m smelling?”
“yeah, you wish, darling.”
or
“are you seriously jealous?”
“i don’t get jealous.”
with randy is a different type of jealousy, though, because he does get moody.
“are you gonna tell me why you’ve been this bitchy lately or…?”
the look he gives you after you confront him — he’s so fucking baffled that you’ve noticed something’s going on, because mickey thinks he’s so subtle about it when he truly isn’t.
“first of all, rude. second of all, what are you even talking about?”
he finally gets petty when you ask again.
“leave me alone and go over to randy’s, mm?”
you literally burst out laughing at that, because that’s his way of admitting he truly is jealous.
he actually gets a little annoyed that you’re laughing, which makes him purse his lips and stare at you with a no-nonsense face on.
you reassure him randy and you’re just friends.
“thankfully, you’re the only nerd i seem to like.”
“what do you mean thankfully???”
you end up making him laugh and making him forget his dumb jealousy.
although you occasionally tease him about it because it will never not be funny to you that he actually gets jealous when he’s the only one that you want.
